Course objectives:

The course aims to analyze, design and evaluate the key technologies that contribute to improving the energy efficiency of buildings, districts and and urban built environments. In addition, the course aims to analyze the environmental quality parameters both indoor and in urban areas.

4th Week  Indoor Environmental Quality in Buildings - Part 3: Visual comfort and lighting
5th Week Smart Buildings and Integrated Energy Design - Definitions and Examples
6th Week: Buildings Certification LEED and BREEAM Standards
7th Week: Zero Energy Communities and Intelligent Energy Systems
8th Week: Energy planning in the urban environment and urban heat island phenomenon
9th Week: Presentations of work progress
10th Week: Smart cities and energy infrastructure - Part 1: Definitions
