PhD Candidate Katerina Drosou won the "Best Poster Paper" award in the thematic section "Catalysis-Fundamental and Applied Chemistry", presented at the 13th Panhellenic Scientific Conference in Chemical Engineering (Patras, June 2022). Her research work "Catalytic Oxidation of CO under conditions of excess O₂, over dispersed Ir nanoparticles on Al₂O₃-Ce_xZr_1-xO₂ mixed oxide supports" is conducted at the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry & Chemical Processes of the School of Chemical & Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Crete, under the supervision of  Prof. I.V. Yentekakis and in the frame of the Greece-China bilateral cooperation project “CatEfDeNOx”.

This research project concerns the development of highly active and selective nano-catalysts for the effective abatement of automotive pollutants and is implemented within the framework of the National Action "Bilateral & Multilateral R&T Cooperation Greece-China" co-financed by the European Union and by national resources, in particular by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the framework of the Operational Program ΕΠΑνΕΚ 2014-2020 (Project Code: T7ΔKI-00356).
